Get the right boxes in 2021

Online shipping and buying is huge right now.  With the pandemic going on for about a year now we are still seeing people buying online.  It is a huge thing that is still happening. To this day  what I have seen is that thousands of companies are closing down due to the lack of foot traffic.  That is because many States have shutdown businesses or only allowed small percentages of people to be in them.  It has caused a massive amount of unemployment and costs of running a company to go sky high and yet all for nothing.  There are some areas that think many companies can do on their own and cut down on costs.  Our company decided to buy all our own packaging supplies and we even started to work on our own money-making marketing.

We ended up really making huge savings by doing our own work and it was simply worth the cost of time.  This was a difficult decision that we had to make and we decided that we would try to spend that money someplace other than marketing and we all as a company decided to dedicate some time to make this happen.  


The extra work we did on our own gave us more meaning.  We all were a part of our company making money.  It was amazing handling all the materials of how we made business made making business part of their weekly job.  It was an empowering moment to see someone from accounting, shipping, and our CEO working together doing the same thing.  I am generally not a fan of socializing work and putting tasks in the hand of people who may not be good at them. But in this case, we all dedicated 3 hours a week to marketing and separated ourselves into teams.  The teamwork was fun and we all pitched in.



This was a great thing for HR and it made us a stronger company as a whole.  People had fun putting together direct mailers and simply put on movies and tv.  We made quotes for them to keep up with but they were lenient and allowed for a fun time.  It changed the entire mood of the company and each week our teams looked forward to spending 3 hours doing easy labor and watching tv or listening to music.  We found that Hamilton the play was a big hit at our company.   As we put our packaging supplies together we ended up bonding and enjoying our time. 


Not to mention we saved a ton by doing this and that was a huge motivator for us. We tracked all of the items that we used and had teams do the same thing in different ways to find the best and most cost-efficient way.  After having all the diverse teams work on things we knew how many, labels, letters, tape, and stamps were going to be used.



Horus spent searching hard to find the best deals in order to cut down on all the costs of our marketing and we found that marketing supply companies online gave a whole lot of discounts for bulk purchasing. So we took a financial hit the first month, but once we got the number we found that we could cut down drastically on costs with these bulk buys and it was a cool thing.
